Car Price Check Websites Like Edmunds or Turecar in Australia ?

Hi.
Just wondering if there are any websites which can provide the avg final buying price (paid by customer) of any new/used cars in Australia.

US/Canada has Edmunds.com or TrueCar.com but carsales.com.au or redbook.com.au is not providing the same information which you can get from Edmunds.com.

Any suggestion will be appreciated.

  • I think carfacts.com.au provides a pricing guide with their report but don't remember how comprehensive it is since it's been a while I looked at one!

    • unfortunately it doesn't provide the information what i am looking after. Thanks anyways.

      • what are you looking for btw?

      • carfacts.com.au suggested by enzioFirenze have an average price. it fact, it has a chart that plots prices and gives you an average

        • can't find the comparison of avg price of car. it seems its paid site $29 to get the car facts ? am i looking at right place ?

        • @ozyboy: Yes, you pay $29 for the report. Look at their sample reports to know what's in it.

  • Autoexpert will get you a quote using a broker. Give him a try.

    • Yes, i have tried but they haven't come up with avg price. i am getting better deal at dealership than autoexpert but still too much asking price at dealership as well.

      • Unfortunately there is no website that gives you the average price paid for a car. A broker that knows the market well is worth talking to

  • Have you tried:
    redbook.com.au

    • As i said. Redbook doesn't provide you the avg buying price for commodity

      • I guess the problem would be that websites that have the data you are after would rely, in Australia, on people providing the values they paid or companies providing the values on the sale. I don't see any reason why someone would provide that info. My best guess is use the range provided by redbook, and get a maximum price you are willing to pay.

  • pricemycar.com.au does exactly that!
