Wedding Reception Dinner for up-to 25 People, Any Ideas ?

Trying to help one of our friends who wants to do a small intimate wedding reception for up-to 25 people, as they will be having a larger wedding reception Overseas . Just wanted to know if anyone has had an experience with hosting a small private dinner ? They would ideally like to have it in Melbourne CBD and have contacted a few hotels but every hotel wants a minimum pax . They don`t want to do it at their home as too much hassle they say so just wanted to know your thoughts or any ideas that you might have to help us arrange this dinner.

    Just find a restaurant which can give them a room upstairs or similar with a banquet menu?
    Don't mention it is wedding if you don't want the price to double.
    Unless you want an event planner to do all the organising with associated costs (shudder).

    Many of the better restaurants have private rooms.

    Search for private rooms + your area / suburb. Bang.
