Intervalometer for Nikon D3200

Hey everyone,
I'm looking to get an intervalometer for my D3200; I have never used one before, this one seems to be a generic of the types available from searching around:

It would be great if anyone here has used this (or similar) before and can comment, or suggest others.
Thanks!

  • Yup it'll do the job. Some of them are limited to 99 frames, but this particular unit is good because it goes up to 299 off memory I think, either that or 999. I'll check when I get home - I have the same model but for canon.

Relatively straightforward and the batteries last months when not using it daily.

    • Thanks nytrojen :) I'm happy enough to place an order for one shortly :) cheers

      • Just checked. It maxes out at 399 frames. So just over 13 seconds at 30fps, which should be plenty

        • That is perfect :) Thanks very much again, can't wait to start clicking!

  • Just buy an even cheaper single locking button unit:

As Nikon cameras control all the time lapse and long exposure settings in the internal menus, well they do in my D5000 and D800E anyway…

    • Hey Spic3y, thanks for the suggestion; unfortunately my camera does not have the interval timer function built-in :( so I definitely need the accessory unit that can do so.
