I purchased an Optus $2 prepaid SIM a couple of years ago. Not sure what went wrong with the activation, but after numerous calls and emails to Optus support, I was never able to get it working with Optus perks/movies/whatever.
So, what's the recommended method for getting it set up properly?
Yeah, I should have mentioned, that SIM card has long since been binned. I'm hoping someone can tell me of their recent experience in getting an Optus prepaid $2 SIM to work with Optus perks.
Don't you just buy a SIM, activate it online, choose the prepaid plan suits you..then bam you're done and you got an optus number? Can't be that difficult right
That's what I tried doing last time. Unfortunately my account wasn't set up properly and I gave up after spending hours with optus support trying to get it fixed.
To answer my own question, I bought an optus $2 prepaid sim today and I can now use optus perks. FWIW, I had to register my prepaid sim, then register for Optus MyAccount, then register for Optus Perks.
A couple of years ago, it may be already expired :)
