[NSW] $18 for 2 Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream 458 mL (save $7) @Coles

100

Single on Valentine's Day this Sunday? Look no further. Introducing your one and only companion needed this weekend. You can grab 2 (yes you heard 2!) large tubs (458 mL) of your delicious Ben and Jerry's ice cream for $18. That's a saving of $7! Now think of all those goodness all to yourself!

If you already got a companion, then forget about expensive dinners and roses. Just grab 2 (or more) of these babies and kick back and 'Netflix and Chill' your Valentine away.

This deal however seems to be store specific at World Square NSW but could also be nationwide. This is not a weekly catalogue special. They currently have heaps of Triple Caramel Chunk and Phish Food.

Since when did 458ml become "large"?

    • The tub (458 mL) vs the Shortie (100mL) which is around 1 scoop of ice cream. The one scoop (shortie) would cost $3-4 depending on where you get them. Those are the two sizes they make but yes I agree with you they are not large compared to say Peters etc.

Hang on, OzBargainers willing to pay more than $18/litre for supermarket icecream…let me get back to Earth before the Stargate closes!!! ;)

    • Hahah it's actually $19.65/L. Not cheap but somewhat cheaper than getting individual smaller ones (obviously). Still overpriced compared to other brands.

A good saving at face value, but I'd still rather a trip to Cold Rock ice cream shop…

    • It's obvious that this deal won't be for everyone, but it's no worse than posting a $500 android phone deal, when you can get an android phone for well under $50. The point is, if you love this ice cream, or an expensive phone, it's nice to get it when it's a few dollars off.

      • New to the concept of humour, are we??? ;)

Wow..and here I am thinking even $9 is too expensive for both of them. Does it come with diamonds or just gold?

Is the icecream really that good? Never tried it but have heard B&J's mentioned by people over these last couple years

It's nice, but you can never really justify the added price, especially if you follow the teachings of ozbargain

Yes it's that good and rarely goes on sale. This is one of the things I would actually purchase full price at around $12. Their strawberry cheesecake flavour is the best.

      • I might have to give it a try sometime then, thanks!

its good but only because we do not get alot of other international brands like Haagen Daaz, Swensens, Baskin (tubs) and even Starbucks (yes they make ice cream) for example. Ice cream varieties in oz are very very localised so we only get all the same flavoured local brands which do not provide alot of competition

My local Woollies store had all the Ben and Jerry's, Maggie beer, Homer Hudson and Connoisseur tubs, that are all around that 500ml size for $1.80 each in a section of the freezer.
    I grabbed all 20.

Didn't post it here as the lady doing the tickets said that the manager said to get rid of them as they wanted the shelf for the new lines.

Might pay to check your local Woollies as they may be discounting at their own discretion to make room.

  • Why Aussie still need Ben and Jerry's?

Also why we need In-N-Out Burger?
