Hey, so the unimaginable happened today, gave my sister my spare lumia 530 after her iphone became unusable.. Today as she stepped out of the car it fell from her pocket and hit the curb and shattered :'(
Anyway, obviously they are cheap phones but has anyone tried changing the screen before? Can get a replacement screen <$10 but just want to know how difficult it is? I've had a look at a few tutorials and it looks OK to do.
I've done ipods etc before..
Any tips would be appreciated :)
If it's just the shattered digitiser and you feel confident, then take a shot at replacing it. As you may have seen, this repair is a bit different, as some soldering is required to replace the digitiser. At the moment you can repair it, use it as is, sell it on ebay or chuck it out. Those are your options.
