Hakataya ramen is celebrating 20th anniversary, offering free nagahama ramen with free extra noodle on the 13th Feb, this Saturday only. For my experience, there will be lots and lots of people waiting. Finishes when soup runs out.

It is great tasting ramen and I would recommend going on a non event day and enjoying it (I imagine there is going to be quite the wait :P) For everyones knowledge dine in customers always receive free extra noodle! :)

Well when it comes to Brisbane Ramen it's pretty good although I'd like more fat in the broth. If your in Sydney, Taipei, Hong Kong or Kyoto get in to Ippudo Ramen that is my favorite.

    • Or on your birthday.

    Best ramen in Brisbane

      Taro ramen is better

If you want a lighter broth, go with Hatakaya.

      • If you like lukewarm broth, yea

Disputable. hakataya is foul, i just spent 41 days in Japan… ate ramen every single day. After multiple experiences where Hakataya noodles tasted like chemicals, were very overcooked (gluggy), or the soup was way too heavy… I'd not pay to eat there. Consistency is a problem in the Brisbane ramen scene. Best ramen I've had was at Genkotsu- but like I said- overall Brisbane ramen is inconsistent.

      • Hrmmm so what you are saying is Ramen tastes better and is more consistent in Japan… WOW! Who would have thought.

        • No, I'm saying that the limited ramen in Brisbane is inconsistent…and Hakataya has been proven to be the most inconsistent.

People's perception would depend on the range and quantity of Ramen they've tasted. I'm sorry, but if there's a 30% chance my noodles will taste like Windex, no thanks.

      • I worked in a ramen restaurant in Japan and hakataya is by far the best I've had in Brisbane

    • I prefer wagagya… although some might disagree ;)

    The portions are tiny.

    • Free extra

      • Even with the extra noodle, it's tiny. Might be enough to fill up a child/young teenager though.

        • God, mohammad, and hitler! How much do you eat!? Two lots of noodles, plus all of the broth, and I'm one happy chappy.
