Limiting OzBargain Alerts to Published Deals

I've set up some alerts for a few key words so they get emailed to me and I find this very helpful

I've found that when someone posts in the 'find me a deal' forum and mentions my key words that I also receive email alerts. I'm not interested in receiving email alerts for these. Is there a way to limit the alerts just to published deals?

    also interested in this. Sick of getting forum posts emailed to me for people selling qantas points. I just want the CC deals.

    Change the search "all nodes" from all to deals..that should work.

    Add "type:ozbdeal" to your alert query.

    Thanks for the great tip Scotty. Is there any query we can use to exclude a particular seller. Text residing in the phenomenal exclusions lists for DSE bi-hourly sales used to always trigger my alerts.

      Unfortunately you can only include store not excluding them at the moment. At least we don't get that many DickSmith deals these days.
