  • Sweet deal.. Not too sure about prompt delivery though..

I've never had a problem with their delivery and I've purchased about 5 orders in the last year.

    • +1

Depends what delivery option you select. If through the regular post, AusPost like to take their sweet time sending packages so they can promote and show value to their premium services.

Purchased a motherboard on Wednesday got to Melbourne on Friday. And I don't live in the city part

    • +1

I've bought an SSD and a HP microserver from them in the past, and neither order took longer than 5 days.

    • Fair enough mates. Probably just an unlucky package which took 3 weeks to arrive and it was just a thumbdrive.

  • Help for a PC newbie,

MY current build has a KVR16N11/8 8GB RAM installed, is this different to the KVR16LN118 being sold in this deal?

    • +3

      Hi yktan,

Please do not mix the N & LN on same build, you need to get a pair instead.

      cheers
      SE

      • OK, got it. Thanks

    • one is low voltage, one high, i wouldnt do it

      • Don't risk it.

        • I always buy ram and hdds in pairs. That's how I roll. I dont want to run into issues like this.

The cheapest I bought ram for was $46 for 8Gb stick so $49 given our crappy currency is good.

      • Might be listed as low voltage but it can still run at 1.5v

        • I dont think the VRMs can supply 1.5 to one slot and 1.35 to the other.

      • I mixed KVR16LN11/8 with whichever 1.5V stick was there before. Everyone died. CPU-Z >> http://ocau.com/pix/gzs82

        • From what i am reading, the L is meant to be dual voltage and hence just detects and will change back and forth depending on the voltage? So its meant to work with the older type of Ram as well?

Would be good if was SODIMM. havent owned a desktop in years

Damn. Just searched for notebook RAM, and thought it was a sign! Desktop RAM.

  • Blah, just bought some more RAM for my microserver a few weeks ago. Good deal though :)

  • Will this work with a Gigabyte Z77N-WIFI? It has 2x "1.5V" DDR3 slots.. will it run at 1.35V?

    • +3

yeap it should do fine - just do not mix with a 1.5v ram

      use either 2 x 1.5v or 2 x 1.35v

      cheers

      • Cheers, got 2x for some 16GB goodness :)

  • I hope you guys don't mind my stupid question but I've never heard of ddr3l before. I have a Asus MAXIMUS VI HERO with a Intel Core i7-4770K(haswell). Will this ram be compatible with my computer?

    • +1

yes, but when in use - please do not mix with 1.5v voltage ram

  • "8GB 1600MHz DDR3L Desktop RAM"

    Is this one for NUC?

    • +1

      no, NUC uses notebook ram.

  • +2

Usually I applaud the codes that you generate TA, and this one is also good, but you missed out on ARSEKING!

  • Would either of these be suitable for my HP N54L Microserver? Thanks!

  • Perfect timing! Thanks!

  • +1

Nice deal, I have purchased a couple of DDR3 sticks. Thanks TA and SE!

  • Hey guys, I have the option of the valueram or HyperX Fury.
Which one should I go? I'm more of a plug and play person, don't bother overclocking. Thanks

  • Hey OP, if I purchase Kingstom 8gb ram and SAmsung M2 250 gb SSD can you do free shipping on both as the ram is also Kingston?

    cheers!

    • +1

Please try again, you should able to combine the SSD & flash on same order with free shipping now.

      • Hopefully they'll give some +Votes after haggling over a good deal.

      • Bloody awesome service, thanks SE!

Edit: Sorry I should clarify I meant when buying the nuc ram 1.35V the KINGSARSE code doesnt work - any chance you can make free shipping when buying the 8gb Kingston nuc ram + 250 gb m2 Samsung 850 ssd? thanks!

  • Anything on 2x4gb?

  • Hi Rep,

Will this 1600 DDR3L works with below:

My current RAM is GDDR3 1333 (ACER ASPIRE AX3960 INTEL Board i5)

    Cheers

  • How about a deal on RAM for HP microserver G8

  • I've been looking to upgrade my RAM from 8 to 16. Can someone knowledgeable about these things tell me if swapping out my existing 8GB (2x4) of 2133 RAM, which is a good brand, for two of these 8GB 2133mhz Kingston is a good idea or would I be better off sticking with what I've got and finding another 2x4 GB of it?

    Thanks!

    • +1

      One Angle:
2x4GB means you keep you're current RAM. No selling, messing, waste.

  • does this work with my iMac?

  • I take it DDR4 can only be used in newer motherboards? I think my motherboard is only DDR3

  • This is the motherboard i have (http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P7P55D_LE/) Can i use this ram mixed with kingston hyperx khx2000c9ad3t1k2/4gx. (http://www.overclockers.com/kingston-hyperx-ddr32000-4gb-mem…)

  • Hi Guys,
I have a motherboad GA-H77-DS3H; the specs says supporting DDR3 1.5V and this RAM is DDR3L. Is it compatible with my motherboard, please advise

  • +3

Any 8GB ECC modules to suit the gen8 micro-server

  • Great, time to upgrade 16 to 32

  • Great price, but I have found that average delivery to Perth is 1.5 weeks. It would be great if they could offer an express-post (i.e. air rather than road) option for small packages.
