Do you like Hidden Object Games, dislike them or simply do not care about them at all except for trading cards?

I was just wondering if and how many people like and enjoy Hidden Object Games which are often coupled with a story. Examples are Nightmares from the Deep, 9 Clues, Melissa K and the Golden Heart (currently free) etc.

I did not think I would like this type of game but at the end of last year I played Abyss: Wraiths of Eden by Artifex Mundi as it had many positive reviews and I wanted to see what this was all about - it also made a nice change from Borderlands, Bioshock, and other more action oriented games. I have to admit I was very pleasantly surprised. Good story, good puzzles and just about the right length to keep me (and later the kids) interested.

How many of you like those games and what do you think is the best game in this category?

  • Yes..I think i did pretty well on the OzB treasure hunt. Does that count.

    • Not really. But just out of interest: what did you "loot"?

      • nice orange tee and a chromecast..(Thanks Scotty)

        • That's nice.
Although orange is not my colour - don't support the Netherlands in sports. ;-)

  • Royal trouble was quite good. Kid friendly too!

    • Never hear of that. But will look it up, especially if it is suitable for the kids.
