Just popped into Woolworths at Westfield Hurstville and saw watermelons going for 90c/kg.
Not sure if this price is only available at the Hurstville branch.

Correct bought some on Sunday. I think they've had it around that price for a while.

Why? It is a valid question as the normal price could be an indication of how good the bargain is.

90 cents a kilo is not a bargain whereas $1 each will be bargain.
i think that is only applicable for WHOLE watermelon only, if you cut it the price will be different.
at least that's what I saw on Sunday.Price should also cut with cut in Melon :-)
Not a bargain at all.
Probably cheaper than usual if you only shop your fruits at woollies.
Any other private owned fruit shop is cheaper than this.
Bellas in Brisbane selling at around 48cents to 69 cents most of the time.
The 28c per kg watermelon was at Bellas. They always have something on super special, I bought whole rockmelon from them last year for 9c each.
Our local fruit shop sells whole watermelon for 28c per kg.

Aldi has seedless watermelons for 79 cents/kg
