Replacement for JB Hi-Fi Now Music App

Hey all

With the demise of JB Hifi Now, I'm looking for a new streaming and offline playback service. Looks like the majority are $11.99 per month, Apple and Spotify, however in true Ozbargain fashion I was able to get the JB Now service for $90 per annum, so $143.88 isn't exciting.

So wondering on the communities thoughts are on a viable Ozbargain alternative… I'd prefer streaming with the option for offline playback.

Cheers

  • What happened with jb hifi now?

    • They are withdrawing it Mid March. The internet suggests from pressure by Apple, but who knows

Ah, yea I'm not surprised larger businesses pushing out the smaller guys. Then apple can charge whatever they like.

It sucks because the JB Now app had some awesome functionality. Their music catalogue was comprehensive too, just missed a couple of my favourite artists.

Special offer posted recently for Google Music.
Has the added advantage of being able to upload and play your own music if they don't have it in their catalogue and YouTube Music Key.

    • Cool, I'll check it out. Should mention I'm using iOS, but pretty sure Google Music has an app.

      • Looks they are back to 30 days and then $11.99 per month. For some reason I couldn't use the free version, maybe it's US only.

        • I use the free version only, I upload my own music and get freebies whenever they post them (and I like them). I don't know if it's no longer available to sign up to, but it works well for me.

  • DHGate sometimes have 12 month spotify codes (make sure you get one that states Australia not US Spotify as they are region specific) for around $32USD….Some say they're counterfeit, while others use them without issue…each to their own I guess

  • I don't mind google play music, dont think there is any current specials though (5.99/month recently)
