Logitech Speakers Not Working on Soniq TV?

I bought a Logitech z213 for my soniq TV today but the speaker which is plugged into the back socket of the TV doesn't seem to have any sound once all plugged, could this be cause these speakers are for computers only? Thanks.

plug in any pair of earphones and see if those work
if they do then it's a problem with the speaker if not must be a problem with the socket in the TV.

  • The speaker has one black cord that fits only in one hole that's green in the TV. The subwoofer has a a static that comes out of it as the tip of the cord touches the audio green output on the TV. And from the speakers it's completely silent, could it be those speakers are not made for TVs?

The speakers are for anything with a headphone plug… You sure the tv actually has one?

  • Did you plug your speakers into the sub first then the sub into the TV?

Are your leads plugged into the right on the sub? Logitech provide paperwork with diagrams.

Plug your phone headphones into the TV, they should play if its the right plug.

  • The television I got was Soniq S50VX15A-AU 50 Inch TV. The one advertised for $599. It has only one tiny hole that fits, other ones which are red, white and yellow doesn't fit into.

    • It's possible that it's sound input for a PC source (vga / hdmi)… Not output.

  • Hmm what does that mean?

  • Read your instruction book, it should give you diagram on input and output sockets.

What airzone means, is that maybe you are plugging into an input, not an output to your speaker.
Whilst it might be the only socket that fits, doesn't mean it is correct.

    • Yeah I cant believe some people. If you suspect the speakers dont work, plug it into your smartphone or pc or whatever.

Then read the bloody manual to the TV you have. You have the TV, you have the manual, you have all the advantages we dont have and you're asking us?

Come on. I question how people get thru their miserable lives without the least bit of thought, reading and basic deduction and I come here and I find out.

Granted Soniq could be more forthcoming with specs on their website but if JB is correct:

      https://www.jbhifi.com.au/tv-home-entertainment/hd-televisio…

The OP is like the proverbial dog chasing after a car, even if he caught the car, he wouldnt know what to do with it.

      • I have the same television and am having the same problem. The only 'manual' that comes with it is a "quick reference guide" which is very limited with it's information.

My old television let my speakers work with the same port so I was confused however the T.v. has 'Digital Audio Out (Optical)'. Nfi what that means yet until I look it up and try to solve my problem.

Point being, you didn't have to be an arsehole to someone asking for help. That's what forums are for you cynical a-hole.

  • Here is someone, on Ozbargain, who has a Soniq and knows about audio out ports (or lack of them)

Soniq HDTV with Only One Audio out Port
