QANTAS Club Lounge Vs St George Priority Pass Lounge

Hey guys,

So I have an St George Amplify Signature credit card and as part of that I'm entitles to some airport lounge vouchers:

So I can either choose two QANTAS club vouchers which I can use when I fly jetstar or QANTAS, or I can go with the priority passes which give me access to various other lounges despite what airline I am flying with.

I very rarely fly QANTAS or jetstar so I really have two options.

1) take the QANTAS club lounge vouchers and try to sell them (I think they go for about $50 each)
2) take the priority pass vouchers and use them when I travel.

I usually travel once a year so I will get opportunities to use the priority pass vouchers but at an airport I can easily get wifi and food at in the general lounges so I am hesitant to take this option.

Has anyone got any experience in selling QANTAS club passes? Is it easy to find buyers?

I just listed a single qantas lounge pass on feebay, started at $40. After 1 day I have 4 watchers and it's been bid up to $50, still 5 days to go so I think you'd have no trouble selling a couple.

eBay will cancel it on you just before the auction ends.

      • erm…. yep, just happened :( Screw you feebay!

Anywhere else I can list this pass? No good to me as I'm not travelling before it expires.

        • Gumtree.

Selling the passes is usually easy on Gumtree (if you're in a mainland capital, anyhow), so long as the admin isn't on the hunt for passes. Ever since Ebay bought them out, Qantas passes have been a no-no, as they are on Ebay (on Ebay it's now very hard to sell them - I had a completed sale cancelled once).

Qantas passes can readily be sold, if reasonably priced, on Gumtree or at ozbargain classifieds. However Gumtree have been know to sometimes cancel your listing and send you a warning.

  • As far as WiFi/Food you can definitely get these but depending on your travel it can be nice to have a shower, and a quiet space to work, along with food, drinks, and alcohol (if you so wish).

As a person who has flown to Europe a couple of times (via Cathay/Finnair but with a QF segment on the way home allowing lounge usage) the ability to shower during a 4-6 hour transit is amazing. Wouldn't generally bother using these for direct travel (i.e. Aus to Hong Kong) or where transit times are too short to bother.
