Comfortable black lace up work shoes 2.0

Hi,

This post is almost identical to this one in 2013 but hoping to get a few more comments/info (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/108492) pretty much copied the first two lines:

My current work shoes are quite worn out and I need some comfortable black lace up work shoes. I work in an office.

I would prefer shoes made by as hush puppies, grosby, airflex or any other brand that has some sort of comfortable sole tech. No square or pointy toe.

Price isn't really a problem but being an ozbargainer I had to ask!, my current pair are a decent Airflex pair from Betts and they have lasted a long time.

EDIT, here's the link to my current shoes; (http://www.airflex.com.au/men/0624-1749201.html)

Looking for where else I should look apart from Betts/Airlfex

Thanks,

    Rockports

  • I agree with other poster recommending Rockports. I use to wear Florsheim but got sick of them leaving my feet covered in blisters. Rockports have always been comfy basically from day 1.

  • head to a dfo, shoe warehouse
got two pair of hush puppies for 100 bucks
they aint the nicest looking shoes, but getting better, the newer models are less blocky

  • Geox has some nice shoes as well. Don't know where you live but in Melbourne there is a Montford's outlet place on Bourke St that might be worth a look for you. Also have a wander through the DFO stores as you might find something useful

  • I wear these (although in the women's version of course LOL) https://www.thewalkingcompany.com.au/shop/ptc-dress-oxford-b…. Extremely comfortable, I'm on my feet a lot at work and wear them all day every day and they're great - and the only brand of shoes I've ever worn (i have several pairs of their hiking/walking shoes as well) that I could wear from Day 1 without any "breaking in", blisters, rubbing, or discomfort at all.

  • I keep seeing these ads about Ascent Shoes. Anyone have any experience with these? Seems like their highly regarded.
