I'm looking to migrate off my VPS which had WHM/cPanel over to a dedicated and specialised Wordpress host, such as WPEngine or Pagely.
Primarily after CDN, backups, staging and availability rather than huge amounts of space.
Has anyone used WPEngine or something similar they can recommend before I fork over $40/mo?
Please elaborate. I'm using my own domain names and SSL certificates.
You'll get less bang for buck but if you aren't a semi-decent sys admin then you'll probably save a lot of time and effort. Head to lowendtalk and check out what's on offer. You can even post a request specific to your actual requirements and someone will contact you.
I'm under the impression that most host operators are active in this forum so you'll be dealing with the people behind the company and prob score a bargain.
"specialised wordpress hosting" is a way to get the gullible to pay very high prices for something that just about all hosts offer.
usually they rip you off per domain as well lel.
