Optus 7GB Data - 1/2 Price Online, $20/Month for First 2 Months of 12 Month Plan (Total $440)

390

Optus just put up a 1/2 price discount for first 2 months of the 7GB $40 byo plan. So $20 for the first 2 months, $10 if you have internet with them as well. Inc all calls, txt and international calls, 300 minutes. There prepaid offer looked good but this smashes it.

    title is misleading

Agreed. Should be clear that it is the first two months only, of the 12 month plan.

Notwithstanding, still a pretty good deal though.

      Suggest a suitable title please

  • Can you stack this with student 10% off?

  • What student discount

  • Cheaper than Amaysim, good deal.

Title at the moment is dreadful, once changed I will Up Vote deal.

With latest change is still a poor title. First 2 months are 1/2 price, of either the $40 or $60 BYO plan with a 12 month contract.

  • *Their

  • These new cheap data plans… Eneloops of 2016? Seeing as Dick Smith is gonna be disappearing after all..

  • Good deal.
I jumped on this plan last week, bit annoyed that I've missed out on two months of discounts :/

If you go to their month to month BYO-they've got $50/mth with same inclusions of this posts plan, but 10GB data included.

    • and then I believe $10 off if you have an Optus service in the same name?

I'm on the $50 p/month plan, 1st month free, no contract, with an Optus discount at $40 a month.

  • Can current optus customers jump onto this?

    • From T&Cs - 'Available for new services only'

However, if you were really interested in the offer, you may be able to try porting over to another provider, then port back?

Telstra/etc. normally have hidden T&Cs of 'new customer, not having a service within 12 months' but this doesn't appear to.

      • Where is the T/C. I can not find it and not sure it is only applied for new customer. Thanks

    • I'm a current customer, just chat with them on Live chat and they will apply the plan for you.

  • Getting time to 'shop' around again for deals……

I applied for the 60 Plan 1/2 price for 6 months back at the end of Oct ( and each month Craptus STILL can't get the bill correct - they still haven't applied the discount - will today have to spend more time getting it fixed! What is wrong with these companies ?)

    • oh wow, you also. my mum has had the worst drama with them getting it all wrong on the same 50% off 6 month deal.i guess they just hope you give up and pay the full fee (which my mum was doping till I told her to go to optus store) so mums been back 3 times to store and they finally re-credited her but still have her on the wrong deal. so lame

    • Im on half price $40 plan for 6 months. Firat two months were ok but this bill they gave me $80 credit to cover the next 4 bills' credits and charged the full price for this bill. So something has changed this month. You may get all the credits as one lump sum in your next bill too.

    • They apply a lump credit so it balances out I signed up for $40 comes up as $60 but they added lump sum credit

  • Just signed up . works out $27 a month for me after applying $10 off every month as I have optus broadband plus I also received 10% off access fee every month through my Unidays account

    • So first two months is $10 each then $300for ten months?

  • Sim to telstra deal data wise but telstra are still stuck in darkness with $1000 calls at $1 min LOL

  • Any one switched from an existing optus plan?

  • Don't trust Optus, signed up with them on a 6 month 50% plan and only got 3 months and they bluntly deny that there was any such offer, showed them the ozbargain thread but no good.

    • If this was th $60 plan for 1/2 price back in Oct - then see my prev comments.

Ho can Optus state that it didn't exist ?

  • Anyone tried to get Vodafone to price match? Wife is on a 3gb $35 plan and wants to stay with them as the country she wants to call is not on the optus list.
