  • Flew Tiger yesterday, pleasantly surprised. The T4 gate in Melb was MUCH closer than the cut lunch you need to get to the Jetstar gates!

    • And T4 is just metres away from the 400 bus to Broadmeadows station. It's quite hidden, though.

    • Did you get evacuated?

  • Wow Darwin to Brisbane is the cheapest I've seen it for a very long time!

    should note:

    travel period - 02 may 16 - 31 may 16
restrictions - Not available on Friday & Sunday from 10AM onwards and Saturday from 00:00-13:59.

    • +1

Where are you seeing those restrictions? Melb-Perth (Fri-Sun) is fine…

        ah…. my bad….

been trying to book weekends SYD-BNE-SYD but i couldn't find any until i looked more carefully at the fine print :)

  • +1

so tempted to book a few days in melb but turned off having to book an annual leave day just to take advantage of the cheap fares *sigh

  • domestic only?

  • +4

Plus Tiger now have a much better on time and cancellation rate than Jetstar and the second lowest cancellation rate behind REX. Times are a changing

  • Thanks sooo much for this "TA", I needed flights to Adelaide round this time. Just got myself 2 return tickets for $120, so happy!!!!

    • +1

For me 3 tickets with jetstar price beat $162

  • Wait time on jetstar 10-20 minutes :(

    Cheers TA!

  • ARGH, this would be perfect if it included June! I need a flight from PER-MELB on June 4 returning June 8. Dang it

    • You should have bought the virgin flight sale last Monday as it include June

  • Darwin to Brisbane is cheap! Especially with Jetstar price match. Brings it down to $54 each way. Crazy low.

    • +1

It sure is! I'm about to book a family trip haha

      • +1

Just wish I could take some leave and I would head back to Brisbane for sure. Oh well.

    • Hey, what dates were you using to get this price? I just spent $980 for a return trip (Darwin, Brisbane, Darwin) for 4 people!

      • +2

Travel period - 02 may 16 - 31 may 16; I'm able to see fares within those dates on Tiger

  • Convenient that Jetstars Price Beat Guarantee is "experiencing technical difficulties and is currently unavailable"…

    • +2

Used it successfully earlier. Looking at the number of clicks on this deal, I doubt you can blame Jetstar :)

      • +1

        Just got

        Perth to Sydney
        Sydney to Melbourne
        Melbourne to Perth

$370 for two people (Jetstar). Perfect birthday present for the Mrs can't wait. Thanks again TA.

  • But Does Tiger still charge the booking fee ? It cost like 18$ return per pax. Craziest and most Stupid fee I have ever heard.
At least with Jetstar, you have option to pay direct debit without anyfee.

I suggest use Tiger to pricebeat Jetstar :)

    • +1

If you price beat with Jetstar, you can pay any method without fees.

    • Yeah and I keep forgetting to load up my MasterCard debit to avoid fees. Maybe there will be voucher hacks in the future?

Even Scoot's desktop version offers POLi. And Tiger is owned by Virgin (that also offers POLi).

  • Domestic is considered a "Long Haul" flight?

    • It does sounds hilarious to me :)

  • Price matched return flights for 2 Sydney-Gold Coast in May for 108$. Jetstar

    Thank you as always TA.

  • Can't believe Tiger is charging FULL fare for infant!

    • children are real people too!

      • THAT real people doesn't occupy a seat, mind you! Understandable if they charge 75% of full fare for over 2-year olds since they need their own seat, but for an infant that cant even sit herself, that's ripping off

    • Even the infant does not occupy an individual seat? If so, that sounds pretty bad.

  • I thought Tiger has PER-MEL last weekend for $49 one way..

    • They usually have like 1-2 seats available for each day (at that price). It's ridiculous when those sales are on.

  • Dam, so cheap.

Need to book some flights quick!

  • Thanks TA. Lots of cheap flights at reasonable hours of the day too.

  • so should I do tiger or pricebeat at Jetstar? any recommendations?
