Pokemon Regirock, Regice and Registeel with Hidden Ability (Requires Pokemon Bank $6.50)

280

To receive pokemon requires a Pokemon Bank subscription which costs $6.50 per year. You can receive these Pokémon only once per Pokémon Bank account, even if you have multiple copies of Pokémon X, Pokémon Y, Pokémon Omega Ruby, or Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.
Each of the three Pokémon that you receive has a Hidden Ability, a trait they do not possess when found in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.

To Receive Pokemon:

Open Pokemon Bank.
Select "Use Pokemon Bank".
Select Game.
Gifts will be received.
Save and Quit.

Open game which was selected in Pokemon Bank.
Select POKEMON LINK from the start menu.
Select Yes.
Data from the Pokemon Bank will be retrieved and the pokemon transferred to a box in your PC.

Pokemon

Regirock
With the Hidden Ability Sturdy, if Regirock has full HP and is hit with an attack that would normally knock it out, it will be able to endure the hit with 1 HP remaining. This is a great Ability for Regirock to have, being a Rock type with many weaknesses.

Level: 50
Ability: Sturdy
Moves: Explosion, Ice Punch, Stone Edge, Hammer Arm

Regice
Regice's Hidden Ability Ice Body allows it to restore HP when the weather condition is hail. Regice is strong against opponents that attack it with special moves. By using Hail, it can recover HP throughout the battle while doing even more damage!

Level: 50
Ability: Ice Body
Moves: Thunderbolt, Amnesia, Ice Beam, Hail

Registeel
Registeel's Hidden Ability Light Metal reduces its weight by half. This decreases the damage it will take from moves such as Low Kick and Grass Knot that are more powerful the heavier the target is. It is especially good for Low Kick, a Fighting-type move that is super effective against the Steel-type Registeel. Roll with those supereffective punches and strike back!

Level: 50
Ability: Light Metal
Moves: Iron Head, Rock Slide, Gravity, Iron Defense

Geez, back in the Sapphire/Ruby days on the GBA I got these guys for free..

    • +3

They're still free and available in the Sapphire and Ruby remakes but they haven't been distributed with their Hidden Abilities.

  • Ehhh. Okay, as an ex-Pokemon fan who played from R/B/Y to B1/W1 who still owns a 3DS, I definitely get the appeal of these sorts of events but whenever I see one of these kinds of posts, I really question their place as a "deal" on OzBargain. I know these types of deals have been allowed in the past before but I can't help but cringe when I see them.

I guess they're comparable to limited time DLC that many other games have but the biggest problem I have with these sorts of "deals" is that they're not deals in the traditional sense as a deal to me involves multiple distributors each offering their own price. Clearly, there is only one distributor which makes this more of an announcement than anything.

I'm not going to give this a negative vote as past "deals" have been allowed but I just wanted to offer a different perspective.

Nothing wrong. If ps plus games and xbox live gold games are allowed. This should be allowed.

      • Now that's a domain I don't get myself involved with. The difference between those games and this deal is that Pokemon have no inherent monetary value unless you want to try to argue that they do hold value in a black market of some sort. I guess my argument wasn't really clear. (This was originally part of my first post but I removed to try to make my point concise. I guess I failed.)

haha I see what you mean. I guess this should actually be a freebie instead of an actual deal.

But as you said monetary value of this is rather vague, more so that the pokemon actually have no value to people that are not interested but priceless for people that want them. That also goes to every deal posted on this website as well.

As long as it is not a spam/sockpuppeting/misleading/inappropriate content, this is perfectly fine imo.

I wouldn't count this as a deal either, but am grateful for you passing on the news!

Join a pokemon forum if you want this sort of info. The event pokemon is borderline this doesnt really belong here.

Poke bank account for $6.50/yr? That's taking the piss. I used to love pokemon before the monster designs became desperate (sadly, about 10 years ago) and I must say - I'm glad I'm out.

    • And the first series wasn't desperate for ideas? Examples: pokeball, a reverse pokeball, bunch of eggs, butterfly, purple goo, more purple goo, a horse on fire, a horse with more fire, etc.

      • and the classic "bird" which remains to this day a recurring inspiration. Still awesome.

    • I agree, and it's a shoddy app as well. But how else am I supposed to keep my level 100 Pidgeot whom I raised from a level 2 pidgey 10 years ago alive?

  • Wasn't there like a 30 day trial you could do with the PokeBank?

    • +1

This was only for people who signed up during the initial release period.

        Bugger :)

  • Thanks, I didn't know about these!

  • May I ask do they come as a standard nature?
If not can we re- roll them? meaning restart the game till we get desired nature?

    • +1

It's a random nature but you can't get a desired nature because they are transferred straight to a PC Box when you receive them from the Pokemon Link.

      • I see thank you for the answer Durd, thought they are given to you by this npc girl like it happens with the mystery gift pokemons

        Cheers
