IMO, the worse part of a holiday to Asia is the flight home to Australia (Brisbane) as it's usually a night flight and I return feeling like s**t.
Does anyone know of day flights from either of the three main city's (Bangkok, Kulala Lumpur or Singapore) listed above or maybe other places in that area that have a day flight to Brisbane/Gold Coast?

CX (Cathay Pacific) have a good daylight flight out of HKG to BNE departs 12.50pm arrives 23.25pm, I know as I'm booked on it but up the pointy end:)

Unfortunately those 10.10 departure times only appear to be relevant to this month and the sun, wed departures revert back to 23:55 for the following months. I want to fly back in July - probably should have mentioned this!

Yes, that's a good time. Price not so good though; S$1292 for trip - guess you have to pay for the privilege!
Here are the ones I can think of off the top of my head:
SIN-BNE: 15:30ish departure on Emirates (yucky arrival time of about 1am though)
KUL-SYD: 09:00ish departure on AirAsia X and Malaysia Airlines
KUL-MEL: 11:00ish departure on AirAsia X and Malaysia Airlines
SIN-SYD: 07:05 departure on Singapore Airlines
SIN-SYD: 09:35 departure on Singapore Airlines
SIN-MEL: 07:45 departure on Singapore Airlines
SIN-MEL: 10:45 departure on Singapore Airlines
KUL-MEL: 15:30ish departure on Emirates (yucky arrival time like the first one)
I've done that SIN-BNE Emirates flight a few times. It's not too bad if it departs on time. It comes via Dubai though so can be prone to delays. Arrival time isn't ideal but at least you can go straight to bed afterwards. Way better than the alternate Qantas/Singapore Airlines flights which land around 6am in Brisbane.
Tims agree. We booked the air asia day return from kl to bne for that reason only to have it cancelled and got transferred onto the night flight. Managed to turn it into a good thing though by extending holiday an extra day (they let you make one free change) and fit in 2 day penang short trip.
Just something to keep in mind if you book with them. Am not sure how often this happens.
Try skyscanner or their app. Let's you search for flights and specify criteria. I punched in Brisbane to KL for some dates in July, then refined the results by those that left KL after 5am to find a Malaysian airline flight that returns in Sydney at about 7pm with connections to Brisbane on Qantas arriving at 11:25pm.
I love the app, especially when trying to find a route where I'm unfamiliar with the airlines in the area (recently used it to book a flight from Madrid to Marakesh).

If you want to break up the journey and either feel like a stop or get a better fare, there are more and more flights offered via Bali on Jetstar and AirAsia.
