This is not actually version 6, it's the "2007" version. I'm not sure what the difference is, but after getting my key I downloaded and tried v6 and it wouldn't accept the key. I emailed Ashampoo and the sent me the link to download 2007, which I had not managed to find on the site. It was a bit smaller download, it accepted the key, and metioned that I could pay to upgrade to v6. So I guess it's a cut down version?? However, it still seems great and has all the features I want (except adding CD text to an audio disc, but 6 doesn't do that either). Good value for free!
I saw it on Whirlpool forum last night as well. But I guess the real question is — is it any good? Actually, has anyone tried it? Is this freebie something I will use rather than Nero that comes with my burner?
