There have been studies all about this, showing unless you have an epic huge TV, and require and HDMI cable over 20m long, it doesnt matter if you have the cheapest cable.

+1 to this, i'd never buy monster. Just shows how gullible somebody is.

  • lol. i got my HDMI cable for $12 bucks that has a sticker price of $48. :) To be honest, I can't tell the difference between HDMI and VGA out quality… with the exception that HDMI has audio channel.

Hey, its just like people who think that <insert expensive material> spark plugs add +10hp to the car.. :)

      • Well, apparently some metal ending with '-ium' gives greater boost AND fuel efficiency to any car on the road :D

i didnt bother to go to MSY as I just needed a HDMI cable to pair the new laptop i bought with the TV… the guy at the shop was quite happy to get me as a customer, who gave me a discount plus threw in 2x 4gb usb drives and knock off a huge amt off that gold plated hdmi cable.. which I reckon it'll cost me more to drive all the way to MSY and back home just to get one cable. :)

        • lol true that, i was there anyway
