Telstra $40 BYO Plan +7GB Data / New plan from Monday

Hi all,

I was really after the promo from Telstra which was advertised last week in conjunction with eBay.
Telstra BYO SIM only plan for $40 a month + 7GB Data,

This morning I was talking to Telstra on live chat and they said it was still available, but only when you contact them directly via live chat.
Then about 10mins later I decided, I would go with that BYO plan, but only to be rejected by the next live chat rep.

My chat with the team member is below, but in saying that I found out they have an even better plan available from Monday.
A bit disappointed about how one team member can offer it but not another one.

  • I am currently on Telstra after months of calls and online chat insanity. If not for the reliable and fast data (which has been going down recently) I would have turned away way before the 20th conversation I had to them about fixing up my service.. Once everything works out it gets better but the telstra team is by far the worst of all customer service experiences you can have. And believe me I've been around to optus, Vodafone and vaya.
