My old Sammy 58inch plasma is dying and am after a basic replacement.
I run Plex and Netflix through my AppleTV.
Don't do much gaming or watch heaps of sport - just movies and TV series which we play audio through our 5.1 system.
Want to spend around $1500.
Thinking of going LG 60LF6300 - I like the look of Web OS 2.
Is there anything else I should consider in this price range?

Web os 2.0 is sweet. It runs well, not really any lag and has all the apps you generally need. If your just using for aTV its more than enough.
I have the 4K LG in a smaller screen but its great. Can't vouch for 1080p but if you check it out in store i'm sure it will be good considering minimal 4K content for the foreseeable future
Alternatively go for a smaller 55inch screen and get UHD, could be worth considering if your room size is good for a bit smaller.
