Looking for Recommendations for Teeth Whitening

Hey all

I'm based in Melbourne and I am currently looking for somewhere to whiten my teeth. As I have read there are two ways to get it done, at home bleach kits that take several days or a one off session administered by a professional.

I really would like to go with the one off session but really cautious as I have heard some nasty things about dodgy places that offer cheap whitening. So really what my question is can anyone recommend somewhere that is reputable I would really be interested to hear what you guys have experienced. I am not looking for the cheapest place keep that in mind. I would rather know I am being taken care of, saying that I'm not looking at spending outrageous money either.

    Hi,
Australian Unity have a Dental Clinic in Mezz. Floor of The Block Arcade on Collins St.
They offer Zoom In-Surgery Whitening Treatment and you need to allocate about
90mins. You can find the details @ http://www.australianunitydental.com.au/dental-treatments/co… or phone them on (03) 9660 5800

Ask for the cost and advise them if you have Private Insurance or have cover through smile.com.au

  • Go for a laser treatment and spend the $1500. That's how much it cost me. It looks like the price went up to $1800 at my local place.

Find a place in Melbourne that offers KTP Laser. I went to a celebrity dentist, because I don't trust anyone else. lol

    • how are your pearly whites/yellows now?

      • I don't drink coffee or tea or acidic drinks. I had some stains from antibiotics that I took in my childhood and after the laser treatment my teeth are now as white as the Australian Federal Parliament.
I get a lot of compliments from women and I always recommend Dr. Levi.

  • My wife and I both had Zoom whitening done at a dentist before. It was one of the higher quality/experienced dentists too which may have helped avoid some of the burns, etc. that people get at "dodgy" dentists. However, it caused one of the most painful and unpleasant experiences of my life. During the actual treatment there was no pain at all but for the next 24 hours it felt like electrodes had been connected to each of my teeth and were being randomly shocked for a few seconds at a time. Painkillers did nothing to ease it. My wife on the other hand had barely any reaction at all so YMMV. Yes, my teeth were noticeably whiter after the treatment and still are but I most certainly would never do it again.
