Best credit card for Qantas FF points - bills, everyday purchases etc

Hi All

I only have one credit card (28 degrees) that I use to keep my credit rating up that I use for daily purchases, bills etc

I'm thinking, would it be best to jump to a credit card that offers Qantas points at least as there is no benefit in me continuing to use my 28deg card?

Any suggestions on which card to go for? Wanting to keep fees to a minimum or none at all

Thanks!

I use the Qantas Credit Union Credit Card as its a visa and gives 1:1 with QFF. It does have an annual fee. One thing to keep in mind with that one is that BPAY transactions don't accrue points. Other than that, all other transactions accrue points plus bonus points when spending money on Qantas.

ANZ Frequent Flyer Black. The offer of 75,000 bonus points with no annual fee for the first year has just been extended until 11/5/16 (according to the Qantas site; there's nothing on the ANZ site). Use the Amex card where it's accepted without a surcharge for 1.5 QFF points per dollar, otherwise use the Visa card for 0.75 QFF points per dollar. Remember to close the account before the annual fee is due, then look for another offer. Rinse and repeat. :)

Keep your 28 degrees card for avoiding those pesky forex fees.

    • I was looking at this offer before, one of the requirements is minimum annual income of 75K.

A minimum annual income of $35,000 will do for the Platinum version, which will score you 50,000 bonus points for a $2,500 spend. Failing that, a minimum annual income of $15,000 will do for the base level card, which comes with 25,000 bonus points for a $2,500 spend.

The offer was recently extended until 15/6/16, according to the Qantas web site.
