Has anyone managed to get Qantas to price match/beat? what is the best way about doing that? They dont seem to have a live chat
Currently BestJet is cheaper by about $60 for a flight I want.
Btw has anyone used Best Jet? Reliable?

For international flight, try some Chinese travel agent, they are normally $30-$50 cheaper than you can book online, no sure how could they do that. Also they can allocate seat for you when you pay, need not to pay extra to select normally seat nor wait until 48 hours before your flight.
I have just had a fantastic experience with Escape Travel, they priced matched 4 return flights Adelaide to Singapore with a saving of $1700+.
Go on to the following site CheapOair.com.au look up your flights and then go to Escape travel and do the same then start the live chat and talk to them about the price match. Escape travel price match against CheapOair, Helloworld and STA.
I was able to get our flights to Phuket for jus over $900 return with Singapore Airlines and that was a better deal than the budget air carriers where you have to pay extra for baggage, food, seat selection, entertainment etc.

Qantas isn't a budget airline, doubt they will price beat or negotiate. Try flight agency's.
Better clear this up: Best Jet is offering a cheaper price for Qantas flights than Qantas website itself

With my experience bestjet were more expensive.Best jet like the others are a 3rd party. I will definitely be going through CheapOair then price matching with escape travel in the future

Take a printout of byojet and pop down to flight centre. They'll beat it by a $.
If the flights are to the US try american airlines, they are heaps cheaper than qantas and in all likelihood you'll be on a qantas plane. Forget the qantas price beat,youll just be wasting your time trying to satisfy their conditions.
I've tried qantas price beat and they were TERRIBLE. Worse experience. Was trying to get them to beat cheapoair.com.au.
First they said it was not possible for it to be that cheap, that the booking won't go through. So I booked the flight (24h cancellation policy) with cheapoair, sent them an itinerary. They acknowledged the flight got ticketed but said it was this cheap only because it was ticketed from the US. So they said they weren't an Australian operator (so pricematch t&c not satisfied). Had a massive argument with them. Finally they relented and said they would give me ONE flight at the cheaper price. The 2nd ticket would be at the normal price. These were flights from Perth to Hawaii. Could have saved $400 by booking with cheapoair.
Only reason I ended booked with Qantas was because I had a voucher to use before expiry. Otherwise, I would have just gone direct with cheapoair.
So true. They just wanna f you around and not actually honour the policy.
I ended up charging back the whole flight with my CC company and booked with someone else. Never again.
I've just put in a claim last night so will see what they come back with. It was to be with an Australian company and also you cannot be using vouchers to pay for the flights. I'm doing book now pay later. Apparently you have to submit claim on day of original booking which I have done. Trying to price match with ifly….
How did you go?
Tried once before, they told me to just buy it from the 3rd party site.
Having said that, I have bought from bestjet twice- both times straight forward.
