LG G4 Price Going down. Should I Wait Further or Buy Now One for $370?

The price of LG G4 is now under $400 with G5 to be released soon. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/239952.

Due to the unique leather design, I am thinking of buying one to keep as a souvenir. Having checked the prices for last few months I learnt that it is being reduced quick and it makes me hesitated to buy now. Unless it will drop further next 6 months I want to buy. Should I wait or buy the Kogan deal? Never bought one from this seller with resonably low credit. Any advice will be appreciated for the timing and the seller.

Buy now. I reckon the lowest the G4 will go in the next 6 months is $350. Currently rhe G3 is around the same price and it has been around for ages.

at that price, this time is very good time to buy. The things I don't like about LG is their customer service. I owned a Nexus 5 and everything was fine until it was dropped and the screen shattered. Contact Google and they redirect me to their warranty centre in Melbourne/Sydney, can't remember and a rude woman answered me, and another bad thing is I have to pay fee to ship to them also admin fee or something to get it checked.

    • Thanks for sharing your experiences and sorry to hear that. When I was working for the company back in many years ago the company's policy was quite customers oriented and I believe they are still very good in customer service in Korea. I have experienced that many Australian business outsource customer services offshore and they aren't good. When you visit Korea you may be surprised with their services as companies train staffs to treat customers like 'king', which causes other problems for staffs. Like these items I don’t count local or offshore services which are beyond the manufacturer's control even though quality controls are their responsibilities. Rather I count on Australian consumer law and manufacturer warranties which are very clear in what and how they provide warranties. Sometimes I bring items when I visit Korea and ask friends to get it serviced for free which is easy without providing proof of ownership etc like here. In general they are kind to foreigners if you speak English. In my opinion developed countries make life complicated to create more jobs or processes .

      • they made me so angry that I sold the phone on eBay and promise won't buy any LG phone in a near future (well I pretty keep the promise "good"…in one or two years), then I bought an LG G2 and G3 at the same time for $120 and $195. At the price, you hardly to **think **.

Another point is I'm having both G3 and Galaxy S5 at the same time and I find the latter have more practical and better. I don't know how about G4 but it is one of the best Android phone out there.

  • My dad has LG G2 and still working fine from last two years. I think I'll update his phone to something similar. What do you guys suggest, either LG G4 or something else?
    Around 400 mark, any suggestions?
    thanks guys

  • I am looking at one of these for my wife. Was going to get her a new camera but she rarely carried the last one with her so looking at phone with good camera.
I see Android Enjoyed has these for $383.00. I dont know anything about them though.

    • I rang them and asked if they may match the price with the previous one of Kogan. They won't do that however it may change from time to time they said and suggested keep watch it. It will be shipped from Hong Kong and the device therefore is not an Australian model they said. I confirmed that they have local offices which sounds like it may be ok to buy from them. Why don't you ask it in a forum where you may find more experience from others who have experienced with this company.

  • Got my black version yesterday and it had Kogan sealed. I forgot to check the finger prints on screen but it was booted in English and Android was already setup. It is 3/2016 batch and I am quite happy with the performance so far.

    • did you buy from Kogan or androidenjoyed?

      • Kogan and it came with Android 6 already installed.

It's been one week and no issues identified so far

        • With the Kogan one… is it the LG-H798 or the LG-H791 model?

Bought mine in September last year. Got the bootloop problem now. If you're buying this phone, don't expect it to last much longer than 6 months.
Currently contacting Kogan and LG… They'd better make it easy to return/fix.
Just bought an iPhone SE. I don't have time for this crap, I've given android a good go for 2 1/2 years now…. my iPhone 4S is still working.
anyone suggesting to buy Android again is getting a punch in the face.

LG G4 is known to have problems. It officially released a statement stating that. Big retails in HK stopped selling them, I was surprised so many ozbargainers bought it from Kogan last month.

    • What issues are you referring to?
