    Original fillet burgers?

  • This is always available as a dinner box here in SA. If you're talking about fillet pieces and not fillet burgers.

Looks like standard pricing in the app. 6 pieces of original recipe breast fillets with 2 large sides $19.95.

    • Manager pulling a quick one

      • Yes, but just a poorly worded sign. Should read $19.95 without the word "only". It gives the impression it's on a special when it's not. But it had the desired impact on the OP.

        • I didn't buy this, I only went in with a friend when I saw the sign.

        • @KaptnKaos: Still caught your attention when it's just an every day price.

        • @unity1: Possibly, I don't have the app though so I'm not privy to the prices that are usually applicable.

@KaptnKaos: You had good intentions by sharing this, but ozbargainers are always scrutinising prices.

Ummm, why would you choose this over a Streetwise feast which is same price? Which is 6 pieces chicken, 6 nuggets, 3 tenders, and two sides (technically chips, but swapable).

    • -3

because you want to save yourself 31.5 grams of fat and 2446mg of salt?

    • +1

Exactly. Always swap my chips with slaw and mash. Then the freebie chips and drink FTW!

      • -3

wow, regular potato & gravy has almost double to salt of a regular chips.
a regular coleslaw has slightly more salt than regular chips, but 14.4g of sugar.
a regular chips is very high in fat.

luckily you went for all 3 options, following the healthy eating guidelines to maintain a balance. :-)

Out of curiosity do you swap the chips in the streetwise feast for a large slaw and large mash, or regular slaw and regular mash? Assuming you're going for the healthy choice and taking the regular size, and the free chips and drink are also the regular size, then you're looking at 10754kJ (whatever a kJ is!!). Assuming you're an adult male, you could hit KFC at 9am opening time for your tailored streetwise feast, eat that delicious box of fried goodness for breakfast, lunch and dinner that day, and still polish off any leftovers for breakfast the next morning and still be maintaining your recommended daily energy intake. $19.95 well spent, and you only had to leave the sofa once!

(not judging, i just found the KFC nutritional information page for the first time and having a little fun: http://kfc.com.au/nutrition/)

        • I swap the two chips for either a large potato/gravy or large coleslaw, and a large bottle of drink. Probably not the best value, but best for keeping everyone happy.

        • You're idea of fun at KFC doesn't seem like fun…also no one goes to KFC for healthy options

        • What the hell are you on about? Do you analyse everything you eat before consumption?

Or, the Dinner Box: 10 pieces of chicken, two large sides (defaults to chips but you can ask for potato and gravy, plain old gravy, cold sores, etc instead) for $19.95. (Doesn't always appear on the menu but it does exist in the system)

Sorry, OP, this one ain't much of a deal!

      • You can just get it from hotdocket http://www.shopadocket.com.au/ I used this on Tuesday when I found out there is no more 9 pieces of chicken for $9.95.

Just a thought, folks… perhaps the sign is supposed to indicate that the manager is 'special', and the 6 strips/2 sides is a separate message? ;-)

  • hmmm hidden menu items the kfc in Swanson street
doesn't even advertise chicken fillets anymore my son is sick n tired of getting wings he just wants chicken fillets as cheap and as many per $ as possible .

nuggets don't count he thinks they are made from the beaks and feet.

    • You must have one wise son

  • $2 krusher in background

    • What's the normal price?

      • $3.95

        • Oooooh!

3 people still up voted this deal sigh…

Sometimes it makes you wonder how many deals are average that are passed off as great.

    • +1

possibly up voted because the menus at kfc mc Donald's and hungry jacks aren't designed to promote / make it obvious what the best value is in meals and bundles. the menus are designed so that people buy the quantity they want at the highest margin.

  • +1

    Its the normal price.

I rather for $1 more get the Cheap as Chips combo

    8 pieces of original recipe
    6 nuggets
    4 large sides
    2 dipping sauce

Then I bring in the survey so I get 6 large sizes

So this means I can get one of each side if I wanted to; chips, potato and gravy, coleslaw, drink, so salad (so you can pretend the meal is healthy :P) and 4 dinner rolls :P

    Nice feast
