Motherboard Suggestions for Gaming? I'm Stuck!

Hey Everyone,

I'm hoping someone can help me decide what motherboard I should get. I've narrowed it down to a few, but can't seem to find any reason to buy one over the other, apart from looks. My list below is what I've already bought, and these are the mobo's I'm tossing up between:

1) ASUS ROG MAXIMUS VIII HERO (the prettiest, I think)
2) ASRock Z170 Extreme7+
3) MSI MSI Gaming Z170A GAMING M7

They're all roughly the same price, but I can't figure out which to get. Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Go the ASUS, always the ASUS.

Been working with PC sales and repairs a long time. I see a lot less returns of ASUS than anything else and when I do the RA process is so much better

    • Just received my asus ROG Ranger this week along with 16gb vengeance ram (albeit 2400mhz)

Was apprehensive after reading all the forum posts about ram incompatibility but it POST'd first try so yes I'll also +1 to Asus!

I suggest you change your part list and pricing to Australia and AUD

    • Thanks, will do, but already bought it all so pricing doesn't matter.

  • +1 for Asus. All my PC builds feature Asus boards, 3 so far now, never a single issue (z87 Gryphon, B150M, Z170-AR)
