Electronic screw driver / Allen Key

Hi
We are moving house and there is a lot of furniture to pack / unpack. Also both some new items including dining and coffee tables hence significant use of screw drivers and Allen keys is required.
I don't have any nice sets, only he ones that come with furniture. Nor do I have any good screw drivers, only the cheapest ones.
Can some one please recommend decent electric rechargeable ones.I don't want to spend heaps as I'm jot a professional but would like to keep it for rare situations like this.

Thank you!

For screwdrivers IMO buy a Stanley set. They usually have a lifetime warranty so it's something you can have in your garage for at the very least the next 20 years. The set I bought from bunnings was http://www.bunnings.com.au/stanley-20-piece-screwdriver-set_p6061822 one. It has been excellent.

For electronic screwdrivers/drills… What are you going to be doing? Ozito is a reasonably cheap brand although I'd recommend pushing to a Bosh again because it'll simply last longer. Depends what you are using them for. You might need a small one for putting together furniture.

Only application that I can ever think of is furniture assembly disassembly

  • The electric screwdriver/drills from Ikea are cheap as chips and for furniture assembly they get the job done.

If you're going to be screwing into wood that doesn't have pilot holes / predrilled holes you're going to need to get a better quality screw driver bit than the defaults that come with cheap electric drills, they'll strip if they get a tiny bit of pressure against them. Cheap drill, decent screw driver bit, you're good to go!

  • I've been using the Stanley Fat Max Ratchet screw driver and it's really made assembling things so much easier. A handy all in one tool
