Secret 96pt Adelaide Hills Shiraz 6 Pack $120 (RRP $228) from winedirect.com.au

40

Today's secret Adelaide Hills Shiraz is good. Really good. This is the second vintage in a row of this wine to score 96 points from James Halliday. It’s no surprise that these guys are fastidious with their fruit selection, opting only for the best rows and within them the best vines when producing this wine. It is a stunning single vineyard wine packed with black and blue fruits, liquorice, pepper and vanilla. It's a big beast for an Adelaide Hills wine and gob-smackingly delicious. It drinks well now but you could happily salt it away for a couple of decades too.
It retails for $38/bottle but today you can get a six pack for $120 (+$7.50 freight to anywhere in Aus - or - grab a couple of six packs and get it freight free for a total of $240!)

  • No need to apologise when you make it so easy to work out what it is anyway.

    • Some people really don't like the secret labels, I thought it might be good to get out ahead of it before someone was upset by it. It isn't incredibly hard to figure out though, you're right

    • Easy for you… I have no idea, mind PM'ing me the name?

      • Can you then PM me?

        • +1

You could set up a Chain of PM's…

This doesn't appear to be a good deal. $120/6 is $20 a bottle.
These people are doing $13.50 a bottle,

Apologies if I missed something. Maybe the year if different?

    • There doesn't seem to be a way to actually buy that wine.

      • "NOTE: you must be logged in to add this to your cart & buy."
Go to the Home Page and set up an account to buy.
But you are right, it's not in the list of wines on the site and appears to be a past offer only accessible by the link above.

    • Yes, you never know the vintage with Wine Cow, unless you email them for details. Some of the older vintages were pretty ordinary.
