For all those people who can benefit from 32GB of ram, like… er… CAD users? 3D modellers? Heavy pro photoshop users? 4k or higher video editors?

I have 32GB, use it for VMware Workstation to run up VMs to test and learn.

Me too. Currently working on a Tafe assignment where I have to have 6 VMs running VPNs and Windows Server 2k12 concurrently. Dat ram be like OMG.

Great deal OP, alas I bought some 3200MHz for like $100 more :/

        Ahh well, faster I suppose.

People like me who open a few tabs in Firefox or Chrome. Modern browsers leak/chew memory like crazy. Open taskmgr and watch the memory usage go wild haha

    • There were times I had about 100 tabs opened during "intense bargain hunting" sessions. Chrome alone chewed 16GB+ :)

    • Yeah, i have kids, and my time is limited. My main machine runs 24x7. Usually has a steam and maybe a ubisoft game both running in the background so i can just alt-tab into them immediately a shoot stuff for 15 mins. Think i have 1500 hours logged in MoW, actually played a fraction of that.

Mix that with multiple VMs running, GNS 3 spitting traffic in and out of my lab. Rendering for youtube. Have 2-3 browsers open each with 4 million tabs going, all doing my head in as i cant remember which tab relates to which drupal site i am running via Wamp. But will i close extra tabs, not on your life. Your typical user i am not.

Yeah, i need to get out more…..

oh, I think 640 kB ought to be enough for anybody.

    • I like to alt-tab between bf4, xcom2 and my 20 or so err… 'work stuff' tabs on chrome

Dont bother buying the Zotac if you are looking for good customer service. I bought Zotac GTX 980 ti extreme and the card died in couple of months, called them and they asked me to ship it to UK and they claim that i may be not eligible for warranty because it was purchased outside the country i live in. Also they really insist on proof of purchase so keep it in your mind. Other than that its really good price for 980ti.

Yeah, I had trouble with returning a Zotac 560 ti after it died. Since then I've made sure to stick with EVGA where I can - they have a (almost) global warranty.

      • I have never had any issue with graphic card before as this was my first build in over 10 years. But i have heard alot of good reviews about Asus warranty especially that they have a service center in many places around Australia.

  • Just got a spare high mobo and cpu without ran because I incorrectly installed the cpu and it got bent and bent the mobo as well (after which I had to buy another one again the next day sad face. Took a risky last night to straitene then pins and voila it works like a charm. Only thing is I put all the ram into the replacement and now I have a unused high end mobo/cpu . Would it be worthwhile to get this type of ram seeing I will probably use it something else , like a media server or gaming device?

    • Which model of Mobo/CPU that you have? Why dont you send the bend mobo / CPU to get replacement ?

      • I did, they opened it up and inspected it. Saw it was damaged so it must of been done by me. Regardless I have a spare mobo CPU that haven't decided what to use for yet but requires ram sticks. Was wondering if this deal and quality was good enough
