Bluetooth sport headphone recommendations? In physical stores in Sydney?

I run with in-ear earphones and I've been thinking about moving to bluetooth to lessen the hassle with cables, etc.

Does anyone have a recommendation for:

  • a type of bluetooth sports earphones which I can buy in Sydney?
  • a physical store where I can actually look at a few different types of bluetooth earphones?

There are tons of random unknown-brand-name ones available online. Lots of them have mics and noise cancelling which I don't need.

Reliability and durability are important of course, unless they are going to be really cheap in which case I'll just buy a few and resign myself to throwing them away after a while.

Jaybird Bluebuds X are excellent. Not sure about a store though.

  • Just got Jabra headphones, very impressed. They double as a tracker and will let you know distance travelled etc. I got from a telstra store, and I think RRP around $100

  • Jaybird Xs: inner ear design with included wing tips and inserts for all sorts of earholes, great bluetooth connectivity, favours bass, up to 8hr battery life (I have these, not a big fan as they keep popping out during running)

Beats Powerbeats2 Wireless: also inner ear but have the external loops to keep the things in, great bluetooth, also favours bass, they're Beats so people are going to hate but I actually prefer them since they stay in.

I can recommend you looking at YT videos since stores tend not to have test in store earphones, probably due to hygiene and security reasons. Rizknows is a YouTube I can recommend to get started (all about fitness tech). If not for active reasons, headphones are your go to solution
