        Well, there's less than a quarter of the bottle left, and dinner is still 15 minutes away… Wife and three boys may have a part in it (the 'kids' like it).

        I'd say it falls just on the savoury side - but there is plenty of fruit to balance it and a nice hint of 'barrel char'. It's just not a 'fruit bomb' and it goes the better with food for that.

        All-in-all pretty impressive (especially at $20 a bottle). I suppose that I'd better open another bottle to have with dinner! That's the problem with bringing up children to enjoy good wine.

        Off to the kitchen - there's a sauce to be made for the beef.
