Doogee X5S or Blackview BV2000? Anyone Have Experience with or Information on These?

I've been looking for a phone which meets these requirements:

<$100
8 GB ROM
4G (LTE)
Dual SIM

Thus far I've narrowed it down to the Doogee X5S and Blackview BV2000.

Does anyone have experience with or information on these models or just the brands themselves?

There are a few YouTube reviews for the BV2000 in English, but none for the X5S. They're mostly in Spanish or Russian.

I have/had a Blackview Alife P1 Pro 4G, 2gb - bought for US$99 with 32gb microsd card through a deal with everbuying. it's fine. the camera is average. i find that when playing candy crush the battery gets hot and twice the phone has shutdown due to over heating.

IF you just want a phone for calls, interwebz and GPS then the BV2000 will be fine.

I moved on to a Lenovo K3 Lemon - a superior phone in comparison.

  • Blackview BV2000 doesn't do 850mhz 3G by the way. If you're Optus — that's fine since it has 900mhz, but a very poor choice if you're not with Optus or their MVNO.

    • Neither does the X5S from what I've read.

But I'm with amaysim, so that's not an issue. :)

I have just received a Doogee X5 Pro - which is currently just over AUD $100 at Gearbest.
It looks to be the same spec as the X5S (maybe even the same phone) but with double the memory at 2gb/16gb.
So far I am very impressed with it - both hardware and software.
