  • However, it doesn't work with Netflix :(

    Boo!

  • It is a useful thing that Opera have implemented, but I don't think it's a deal since it's a permanent feature of the browser :-/
Probably better off in the forums?

  • Opera Software will very soon be owned by a Chinese company. Think about that, and think about the level of trust required when using a VPN.

"A Chinese software company, Qihoo, has offered up the dough. You might recognize their name from an incident that occurred just last year: they were stripped of certifications by AVTest Labs for cheating. Qihoo denied any wrongdoing even though there was clear evidence that they had provided a modified version of their app for testing.

Qihoo also makes their own browser called 360 Safe Browser. It’s shipped in the security suite and once it’s on a system it does everything it can to bully users into ditching other browsers. The suite scares users that don’t run Safe Browser by giving their systems lower security scores. The software also reports other browsers as security threats and is purposely difficult to remove. If you do manage to remove it, there’s a decent chance it’ll mess with your Internet settings as a parting shot. Qihoo’s strong-arm tactics have worked: it’s estimated that 57% of the browsing in China is done with Safe Browser."
