  However I don't know how much Qantas points are worth

  Generally sold for $1.00 per 100 points.
  So not a lot are worth it, the Qantas ones have the biggest discount of course.

  Examples:
  American Tourister Cube 79cm = 30,450 points ($304.50) or from Bag World $162.
  Samsonite Lite Cube Dlx 55m = 64,150 points ($641.50) or from Bag World $399.00.

  Edit: even with the 15% off deal, still not worth it, but maybe more convenient, so your choice of course.
