Has Anyone Tried The Telstra Roku?

I have a US roku and its great. Although I would love to be able to watch the channel 7 / 9 / 10 / 2 / SBS catch up services on it.

Looking at the screenshots the Telstra Roku for $109 outright has these channels.

Has anyone got one? Do the FTA catch up channels work well? Can you install plex?

I've got one and I like it. Had a Roku3 from Amazon before which is now in the kids room.

    Things you need to know:
It's a Roku 2 rebadged so no Bluetooth or headphones in the remote.
It has its own App Store. You cannot load normal Rolu apps.
It does have Netflix, Stan and Presto.
To get Plex to work you have to side load it.
The FTA apps are okay but not great. With the exception of 7 (using their tennis app) there is no live streaming.TV

Check out the Telstra TV thread on Whirlpool for more info.

    • Thanks for the info. I will check out the thread on whirlpool.

  • I have a brand new one still sealed if you want one cheaper than $109. Just PM me.

  • I like the fact you can connect an USB drive to play your MKV files etc, and SD card, which unlike the Apple TV you can not (new or old model Apple TV).
The Full HD 1080P is also a plus for me.
I add this as it is apparent that in the commercial world most people will only look at this and the Apple units.

If I was getting one, I'd most likely get the actual Roku3 or the 4 (to 'future proof'), as I now do have a 4K TV.

By the way, Telstra recently had the Telstra TV for $99.00 on their website.
