I think these are an awesome value for money watch (please no comments about these being 'cheap' etc, as you'd be stating the obvious) so are a great low cost option.

      Water resistant = able to resist the penetration of water to some degree but not entirely.

      50 meters is a static pressure rating:
      Water Resistant 5 atm or 50 m Suitable for swimming, white water rafting, non-snorkeling water related work, and fishing. Not suitable for diving.

      Skmei says: "We have the most advanced water test equipment, precision testing apparatus, a wealth of management experience, advanced awareness, and excellent after-sales service." I can't understand why it would be so difficult to pay Chinese engineers to make sure the watches are reasonably sealed. It's not rocket science.

    Dumb question. Why are some of the ads showing the numbers in light blue rather than usual black? — is that what it looks like with backlight in dark on?

    Have one, it's good for wearing while fishing ETC. Got it for big numbers, easy to read.
    EL backlights just the numbers. Nice gig buttons.
    Sweat easily under band and watch. No problem if not wearing all day.
    Good for price.

    Bought this Skmei 1068 watch about a year ago for over $10 at Banggood, been going strong so far, nice big digits, nice backlight. Never brought it underwater, but has resisted everyday splashes and hand washes. Good price OP.
