Entertainment Book 2010/11

The place I used to work, sell Entertainment Book to their employees for $50.

Anyone know where I can get it for around $50 in Sydney ?

Thanks.

  • im also interested.

  • Don't think you can get it at that price anymore.
I looked around and its pretty much $65 everywhere.

    • +1

From memory my club buys them for $52 and sells them for the RRP of $65.. ie profiting $13/book
People who are buying and selling below the RRP are ripping off clubs.

Noone will sell them for $50 without making a $2 loss (or similar) per book.
RRP has been $65 for a few years now. I think they used to be $50 wholesale when the RRP was $60.

      • That $50 i bought was a while ago.
Some companies social club sell at cost to their members.

        • Yeah, my company's social club sold it for $30. Didn't buy it though.

Or you could just pay $65 so a club or charity actually makes some money out of it…

  • Ent Book prices seem to have gone up this year. This Bris & SE Qld has moved from $60 to $65. Parra/Hills from $55 to $60.

They indirectly mention which ones have gone up on their website:
    http://www.entertainmentpublications.com.au/entertainment_bo…

refer "only" price (the increased ones), versus "Still only" price.

Getting an Ent Book for $50 will not be possible this year I suggest.

  • I just picked one up off the guy in the for sale section on the forums here for $59 its the sydney 2010/11 version.

  • That is correct. Places sell it for $65 and make that $13 for their charity. However, there is also another version that is smaller with less vouchers so this might also be less to buy. FYI, the small version doesn't have the fine dining discounts and expires end of 2010.

    • Hi LittleMiss, do you know where you can get the smaller books from and how much they are? I have not come across those.

      • Oh hello, I'm actually not sure where they get those smaller books from?! I was surprised they existed too. A guy from work brought it in and let me look through it, all he said was that his wife got it from some fundraising thing :S

  • you can save money by buying one for full price, and then go to the entertainment book office and buy another for $45-$49 i think last time i did it. You can go halvsies with someone else and save a few bucks.
