Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro (SD650, 3GB RAM) Best value for price?

I'm looking at buying the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro. It's about $300 so I'm curious to thoughts on anything that compares or worthy of consideration?

So far it seems best value for money.

I've looked at the Xiaomi mi 4 that is just under $200. Fairly old now but still good. Mi 4S for $340, too expensive given what it is, I'd probably go for a mi5 if I was to stretch a bit more (extra $100), and iPhone 5S for roughly $300 (refurb).

seems to be the cheapest - USD$217.57/AU$286 from everbuying - using mobile site and getting 2% mobile site discount, redeeming 100 EB points/US$2 (free when joining).

there is also the option of cashback of 4.8% as well - so a further US$9 off

the Xiaomi Mi4 16GB 5" 3G 3GB RAM for US $143.07/AUS$188 at everbuying- see this post -plus further cashback of 4.8%.

Why are you constantly plugging everbuying?

You haven't bothered to answer any of my questions or cared to read anything. I've noticed you doing this often. I do appreciate the time you've taken to get these prices for me but it's not what I've asked for.

I've only had mine for <2days so take that into consideration.
Quick, battery seems good charged it too full around 9pm yesterday and I'm still on 60% after mid use.
fingerprint scanner works fantastic and despite the reports of poor low light camera for a phone its still pretty good. Not like a flagship sony good but you won't be looking at 3 pixels like some reviews make it out.
MIUI is really a ios and android hybrid I don't mind it to be honest.
Shits all over my Moto G2

        • thanks for that. I've owned the Xiaomi Mi3 for the last year, its been amazingly good, sadly ran into issues that cannot be fixed. Agree with miui being amazing!
What phone did you come from before the Redmi note 3 pro? *My bad, Moto g?

          @PR0r:
No issues with my main apps:
chrome, snapchat, facebook, messenger, line, wanikani.
There will always be a new better value phone coming out…
from my short experience its good, my friend has one and has been pleased with it hence influencing my purchase.
I think this would easily outperform a 5s unless you like the stability of the apple ecosystem.
          anyway that is my 2c

        • @shanakatak:
Have you experienced any "not responding" apps or issues yet?

Why are you constantly plugging everbuying?

their service has always been good (I've had 6 orders with them). I plug them so often as their prices with discounts appear to be the cheapest around. that's sort of the point with Ozbargain - best value (with reasonable service).

I'm curious to thoughts on anything that compares or worthy of consideration?

Go for the Note Pro 3 -it's a great phone - according to specs and the review from GSM arena though they said the camera was fine but nothing brilliant.

I have a Lenovo K3 and am very happy with that. it does everything I need - calls, texting, internet, GPS, cabdy crush, photos. it was a great purchase at the time for the price I wanted to pay for a phone with its specs. it's currently 25% cheaper (US$100) as new Lenovo models are coming out. that happens. as shanakatak states below "There will always be a new better value phone coming out…". The benefit of xiaomi phones is that there are usually updated/better ROMS available to improve performance (remove bloat ware, etc).

        Get Note Pro 3.

    • Any good prices on the 3gb ram?

    I ordered note 3 pro 3gb ram at $266.

    Check out dealsmachine

Do you mind posting the link? Cheers

      • You can simply search "xiaomi note 3 pro" from ozbargain, then you can find a deal from dealsmachine which is still active.

I ordered a silver and white colour as it cost $268. It's a pro version (650 snap) with 3gb ram and 32gb memory.

You can also pay extra 10 dollars for super fast delivery by DHL.

        • I must be blind the price is over $400 before discounts.

        • @PR0r:
I was surprised when the discount code slashed the original price by $100.

  • i was about to buy from dealsmachine until someone said it comes with a unofficial rom that cant be updated

    • Tinydeal are selling them with unofficial roms too…but can be easily changed to miui 7.

      • That also means your not buying brand new. It's been opened and had that customisation made to it.

        • Meh….all good now.

    • Hopefully someone can clarify this
