Travelling to Cairns, what's the best car rental company who won't gouge me?

Family is travelling to Cairns over a well earned holiday.

Family comprises of 3 adults and two preschool children.

Firstly what's the best play to hire a car from?

Secondly would cars like Camry or Hyundai i45 be able to fit two child seats in the center and left hand seats and afford enough space for an adult?

    I think you will find these two companies have better rates, and they both have a presence in Cairns:

    I don't think they're at the airport though, so you might want to find out how that could work.

    Are you talking about just booster seats for older children or those full-size child seats for toddlers?

      thats the toughie. I need to have the childrens seats ready to go upon arrival.

        If your children are old enough for a booster seat you may be able to easily bring their seats in a suitcase.

          I'd happily do, but the missus insist an "expert" fix the seats.

          I am not sure that someone working in a car rental company could be classed as an expert in installing a child seat.
          They will probably get the guy that cleans the cars to install it.

        You're welcome. We used them in new zealand and cairns. Great cars and very competitive (usuall ly cheapest when u compare all the inclusions)

    I used Apex last time and found them very good.

    I've also used Ace Car Rentals and East Coast Car rentals.

    Prices change all the time and the nearer the date, the higher the prices usually are.
