I might just buy the Kaiser Baas Chest Mount that HN have for $10.00. Did not think of using a pencil case.

I looked at these and ended up just buying the bits I wanted. My GoPro lives inside the underwater housing almost permanently so I just use a big pencil case to keep everything together. Much lighter and easier to pack than the padded case which I felt was overkill for a device designed for extreme sports. I do still pack it between layers when I put it in checked bagged as a precaution.
