Best Place to Buy Good Quality Jeans?

I am a youngish guy (mid 20s) whose work allows wearing dark black jeans as appropriate work wear. Hence, looking for something hard wearing yet still stylish (not Dad jeans or skinny!). Budget of around $80-$100 a pair. So where would you guys recommend? Thanks!

if you're not fashion (read: brand) conscious, then i'd recommend giving Uniqlo a go. They make pretty decent jeans at sub-$100 prices. Otherwise go for Levi's 511 when they're on sale as they hold their dye well. No point buying jet black jeans that get progressively lighter with every wash.

do not get raw jeans, and don't get those with spandex (i.e. stretchy material) if you intend to wash them frequently as they tend to lose their shape real quick without OCD-level care.

… if you've got $300 to burn, then try A.P.C.. No branding, excellent fit. Don't buy it online; always try in store.

… if you've got $400 to burn, then try Burberry. Minimal branding, makes my ass look good. Don't buy online; always try in store.

… if you've got $600 to burn, then try Saint Laurent. No branding, makes my legs look good. Only have 1 so can't comment on fit consistency.

    … but i digress.

    • Awesome, thanks for the advice, might have to hold out on the $600 pair but the rest will definitely be worth a look. My budget can be stretched

Seconding 511 for 'standard' jeans. Uniqlo's selvedge are decent for their price point (free alterations if you don't like cuffing). Unbranded and Naked & Famous UB201 and UB101 start at ~$100, great for beginners; but I'd recommend doing a bit of homework if you want to start down the raw denim rabbit hole.
