Output is 5V / 1A. Is this a little low these days?

Output is 5V / 1A. Is this a little low these days?

? What on earth does this mean? Why do you think everything has to be charged in sixty seconds?

Plenty of devices will only charge at .5 to 1A and if you need faster you buy a power bank that can supply that.

      • Why do you think everything has to be charged in sixty seconds?

You're saying we shouldn't use or expect it just because this power bank might not be able handle it? What do you have against fast charging anyways? Is it wrong to expect or ask for it on a power bank that you're considering to buy?

It's a valid question anyhow. We want to know if we're paying a good price for current tech or a decent price for older tech.

        • You're saying we shouldn't use or expect it just because this power bank might not be able handle it?

Maybe you buy the technology that you require.

What do you have against fast charging anyways?

It's not needed most of the time and it only shortens the life of the batteries and the device powered by them. Using your logic everyone would buy high powered cars and accelerate as fast as they can to the speed limit and brake at the last minute when slowing down.

Is it wrong to expect or ask for it on a power bank that you're considering to buy?

Yes, buy one that has the feature instead of complaining about those that do not.

It's a valid question anyhow. We want to know if we're paying a good price for current tech or a decent price for older tech.

What is current tech when it comes to charging? You can charge at different speeds and buy products that do this. To suggest this is older tech because it doesn't offer fast charging is absurd.

      • ? What on earth does this mean? Why do you think everything has to be charged in sixty seconds?

I am not sure what your getting at. Most chargers seem to be a more than 1A and I don't know a whole lot about these things so I am just asking the question.

Most USB chargers are generally .5 to 1A. Many of the chargers with higher performing handsets are a higher amperage but by no means are they in the majority.

What difference does it make if the charger charges your phone in one hour or two when it's in your pocket?

        • @Maverick-au: Thanks. I wasn't aware that most chargers are only 1A which is why I asked the question.

Big fan of blitzwolf products but this is just weak.
    3350 mah and 1A output?
I can sort of understand the 3350mah if u dont want to carry around a bulky pack but with also only 1A i dont see the point.
Im more than happy with my xiaomi 10,000mah which only costs a few dollars more when on sale.

This powerbank is intended as a pocket power pack that is considerably smaller and lighter then a larger powerbank. BlitzWolf also have a larger powerbank , but this is for a different audience.
During your daily routine, a small powerbank is more economical as it can boost your power enough to make it through the day without carrying the weight of a larger powerbank. If you are active and get caught with a low battery bouncing between home and the office or uni, this provides power until you get to a power source. Although you could carry around a larger more powerful powerbank there is strength in its small size, as most of time all you need is a bit more power to just get you home or to the office. 3350 would provide the average user more than enough power for a daily boost in battery life. Although the 1A is not “fast” charging it is still enough power to keep you going and is the limitation on a battery of this size.

You should really post the AUD price to limit confusion.

  • The Panasonic battery used in this one is far superior to the LG / Samsung batteries in other powerbanks. Nominal rating is 3400mAH. In real life terms probably 2600aAH.

Xiaomi use the same NCR18650B in all their current generation lithium-ion power banks.

I was under the impression they were using LG. Got any links so I can take a look?
