Asking for a family member who needs some internet for a month while house-sitting in an area with no Optus coverage. They'll be using about 1.5gig data at the most. I advised them to use their Mobile phone data, but they cant due to being an old technophobe and having an old technophobe person phone.
Thought you guys might be the best bet for a crack it this. I went into a Telstra shop today during my brief lunch break and after waiting 10min for service, all the lady behind the counter would do was try and sell me a telstra home internet service and other stuff completely not related to a mobile data & dongle starter set. I eventually gave up and walked out because she couldn't seem to break from her forced marketing dribble. Coles & Woolies did Optus stuff, but no Telstra. Hoping for a few suggestions if possible !!!!
Just going whats around, Officeworks are doing the Telstra MF65 (4G) for $49.
You could then add $30 for 3Gb (30 day expiry) or $50 for 5Gb (365 day expiry).
