I have the 128gb Samsung Bar USB key and its quite good, not the fastest out there but certainly good enough, it does get very hot and the bulb on the end can actually block other USB ports depending on how your USB ports are aligned…..Just something to consider if anyone is looking at the Bar ones

Actually getting hot may be a good thing. USB drives get hot regardless of material it is made of. Think of the aluminum case of the Samsung as a heatsink.

Rather than trapping the heat within a plastic case, the aluminum case can assist dissipating the heat.

I like this Sumsung because I can always guess which way to insert it into the USB port.

  • anyone have any experience with the toshiba wireless speaker?

Nope, but at $15 I bought one.

The $10 Rolex principle. Like it.

Picked mine up at lunch time and ….. for $15 it's friggin awesome. Great bass for a tiny little speaker. Small bit of distortion at max volume but I don't think I'll need to use it at that volume. Tested side by side with the Airbeatz I bought DSE last year and the Airbeatz is better with no distortion at full volume but sound didn't seem as "full" as the toshi. Bought toshi as the Airbeatz doens't fit in the cup holder in my car. the Toshi is perfect.

If you get enough of these small items you can qualify for the $350+ spend $50 back Amex deal!

+1 for the bar usb drives. I've had nearly a dozen usb drives on my key bunch before, but none have lasted like this champ. Great to have around!

  • +1 for Bar USB OW price match no problem

  • Scanning as $28 at OW so no price beat (WA)

    • Sorry does this mean I can just rock up to the check out and this will automatically scan as $28?

      • AFAIK you can bring the item to the counter & show them HN's price at the counter to price beat.

        • I think Haritone suggested some already set their prices to $28 to avoid the HN pricebeat.

I called 2 OW's, one had the price change one didn't.

        • Yea, if you take the card/item to the counter it will automatically scan in as $28 at (some) OW - therefore they won't discount further.

The norton deal is not a deal dick smith had nortorn premium for $10 for 5 devices for their closing down sales. and no need for cashback.

  • I bought 3 of these last time they were on sale. I have to advise against them as they can bend at the tip as the metal is very thin. I had to use small pliers to bend it back and it works but I worry about it damaging USB ports.

  • Thanks Trent, was waiting for the 64GB to drop in price.
