Migrating Foxtel Iq2 to NBN

I have just switched to NBN fibre to premisis, I've purchased a router netgear ac1900 (router only)
I have set up all my wifi devices and all are working great including TIVO,
I previously had the Foxtel connected to the ADSL modem via a powerline adapter and I simply unpluged the cord from the ADSL modem router and plugged it into the new router however this didn't seem to connect to the Internet on the Foxtel settings page. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Should I have plugged it into NTD?
Do I have to reconfigure the Foxtel settings?
Any advice appreciated I'm not that tech savvy, they didn't have computers when I went to school.
