[Product Recall] Blue Ribbon Ice Cream

Just spotted this recall on the Recalls.gov.au site.

It affects all Blue Ribbon ice cream sold and but doesn't pinpoint when these may have been sold. It only states that products with best before dates between 28 April 2017 to 27 April 2018 may have pieces of plastic.

If you have one of these, take them back to the point of purchase.

I highly recommend subscribing to their RSS or email alerts as there are a good amount of recalls that may affect you.

Make sure you finish the ice-cream before returning the tub ;)

Blue ribbon ice cream taste horrible, even the home brands taste better.

It never used to be this bad years ago, but it seems consumers are still buying it.

  • I have a tub in my fridge at the moment which falls between the best before date range specified, but I can't remember whether I purchased it from Aldi or IGA.

I no longer have the receipt. Can I still return it ?

    • I'd imagine that either would take the recalled product without the receipt.

My wife actually rang up the number. You do not need the receipt. Just the tub with the best before date at any place where they sell Blue Ribbon. You can finish the tub if you like, but just watch out for the plastic pieces.. Lol.

    • You don't need a receipt, just need to take your empty container with correct best before date on it.

  • Thanks guys !
